Assistant Manager

Colby’s is an establishment dedicated to serving both our clients and our employees.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for building a fun and respectful environment while running all operations on Sundays and Mondays, as well as occasional other days, and with the intention to expanding coverage over time.

We need someone who is a great problem solver, has strong interpersonal and communication skills with human parents, and understands our pups’ body language.

The Assistant Manager must be flexible with work expectations, be reliable and punctual, have a driver’s license, drive & possess a vehicle, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, have a minimum of three years working with dogs in a professional setting, and have a working knowledge of dog behavior and group handling experience.

We will need the Assistant Manager to become an expert user of the Gingr database. Experience as a veterinary technician is a strong plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $21/hour

Groomer

Colby’s is looking for a Groomer who can ensure that our pups and their parents enjoy top-quality grooming in a spotless and customer-centric environment.

The Groomer is responsible for providing grooming, maintaining a spotless environment, and maintaining their client schedule. We need someone who is able to work with pups of all sizes and disabilities, and skills that are required include bathing, shampoos, full haircuts, sanitary clip downs, de-matting, de-shedding, nail clipping, filing with Dremel tool, buffing, teeth brushing and external glands expression.

Colby’s is a team-oriented family and the Groomer must be flexible with work expectations, be reliable and punctual, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, have a minimum of one-year of experience grooming dogs, and have a working knowledge of dog behavior.

We will need the Groomer to become proficient with the Gingr database. This a straight commission position, requiring evening and weekend hours and the Groomer is expected to supply his or her own tools, including clippers, blades, scissors, etc.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year (commission 50% + 100% of tips)
